Please refer to the instructions on https://on.cypress.io/install for detailed information on how to install Cypress depending on the package manager in use.

Although you would normally create a package.json file before installing Cypress, it also works if you do not do this.

The init instructions depend on the package manager, and in some cases on the version of the package manager (Yarn Classic and Yarn Modern) so it would be too much information to put this into the README.

Your suggestion to use

pnpm init -y

does not work

$ pnpm init -y
 ERROR  Unknown option: 'y'

I suggest to close this PR.
